filtered water not distilled water in a fish tank?

i know you cant use distilled bottled water from the store in a fish tank. ive never been explained to as to why but i know its bad lol. but can i use filtered water from my drinking faucet (we have a filtration system under the sink for drinking water). can i get a detailed answer on to why i can or can not use home filtered water.

Green light on Brita Water Filter?

I have had my filter for 2 weeks. Its was working fine and then after a few days when I turned it to the filter position and turned on the water it blinked red. I never saw it blink yellow. I had barely used it so I knew it wasn’t time for a filter change yet. A few days later when I moved it to the filter position and turned on the water no light came on. Today I came home from work and the green light was on. The faucet was not in the filter position. I can’t get the green light to turn off. Any suggestions of what’s going on? Customer Service is closed for the weekend.

Kitchen Faucet quick disconnect?

I just bought a Edgestar portable dishwasher for our home. This counter top dishwasher connects to our kitchen faucet with a quick connector. I also have a faucet mounted water filter. Where can I find a quick connector for the water filter so that I can easily switch between the water filter and the dishwasher?

The quick connectors that I have found have a course thread on the female end that connects to the water filter. I need one that is threaded the same as the faucet.

why wont water come out of my water filter system?

well you know that drinking water filter in the kitchen sink next to the standard faucet? i dont know why, but water wont come out. it worked in the morning but when i came home in the evening and tried to get a drink of water, nothing came out. the regular faucet next to it still works fine. i checked under the sink but no pipe/tube seems to be out of place. what could be wrong? i dont want to hire an expensive profesional….
